

MP Nasheed (Colonel) denies rumors that he is leaving MDP
Haa Dhaalu atoll Nolivaram Constituency MP Mohamed Nasheed (Colonel) has rubbished rumors that he is going to leave Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) and join Dhivehi Rayyithunge Party (DRP).
Colonel said that there is no truth in speculation that he going to join DRP, saying that he never though about leaving MDP.
“I was elected with MDP endorsement. Now and even in the five years ahead, I would stay a member of MDP. It won’t change” Colonel said.
Regarding talks that Colonel went to Alivaage, he said that it is not a problem to go somewhere or to talk to someone.
“Not only Alivaage. (I) have relation with others as well. (I) have a strong relation with Ibra and other politicians. It’s not any problem. Our President says to work with all. Talking to someone doesn’t means leaving one’s party. It is something that I won’t do. I belong to MDP” Colonel said.
